Dr. Andre Kalil, an infectious diseases specialist and professor at Nebraska Medicine and UNMC shares his thoughts on why the results from this trial, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, are so encouraging. Dr. Kalil and UNMC/Nebraska Medicine enrolled the first patient in this trial in February – one of the passengers from the Diamond Princess cruise ship who received care here, along with 14 others.
