Ga Kenkey also known as Accra Kenkey (Local dialect Nkran Dorkono) is a Ghanaian food that is common everywhere in the country. It’s originally a traditional food from the capital city Accra, Ghana West Africa.

It’s usually eaten with fried fish, red pepper (onion, tomatoes, fresh red chilli) and in some cases, sardines, tomato mackerel, fried eggs or and avocados are added to black pepper sauce. You can also eat with tomato gravy and vegetables.

Due to the long process of preparation, Kenkey is usually bought from vendors. However, as an expat living abroad, it can be challenging when you miss your home food. So here is a video of how to cook Ga Kenkey at home.
