It has almost twice the antioxidant power of acai berry and about 17 times that of the pomegranate.

Given below this a recipe of tasty amla jam that goes well with bread, rusks, roti, poori, parathas etc Gooseberries jam has sweet and tangy taste in it. Which will make everyone drool. and can be incorporated easily in a regular meals. Use this inexpensive wonder fruit to stay well this winter.

Gooseberry (amla) – 500 gms. (15-18)
• Sugar – 500 gms. (2 cup)
• Cardamom powder ½ teaspoon
• Cinnamomum powder 1 teaspoon
• Saffron 15 to 20 strands soaked in warm water

Its helps in reducing arthritis-related pain.
It improves metabolism and aids in faster digestion.
This jam can be preserved for 4-6 months without the use of any preservatives into the refrigerator and 1 to 2 months at the normal temperature.
