In this video, we’re going to talk about supplements and how to navigate the overwhelming world of options out there. As a fertility specialist, patients often ask me about supplements, and I want to share my insights on how to optimize your health and wellness with the right ones.
First, we’ll discuss why supplements are so tempting and the common assumptions people have about them. We’ll also dive into FDA regulation assumptions and why it’s important to review everything you’re taking.
Then, we’ll share three main things to keep in mind when looking for supplements. Be wary of very strong claims, and know that there are independent labs like the National Science Foundation, US Pharmacopeia, Underwriters Laboratories, and Consumer Lab to verify ingredients in supplements. We’ll also discuss supplements symbols to look out for.
By the end of this video, you’ll have a better understanding of how to find safe supplements and optimize your fertility. So, let’s get started!
