– Hi, Dr. Heather here from Wellspring Chiropractic Lifestyle Center. Most people today are deficient in vitamin F. Fun, right? Ever see anybody laughing on a treadmill? They’re just going at it. So the biggest reason why most people don’t stick to an exercise routine and don’t, therefore, hit their health and fitness goals
Is because they’re doing something that they don’t enjoy. So don’t do that, let’s change that up. Let’s think about what do you love to do, and that’s something that you’re gonna be able to stick to. Remember that optimum fitness goals are only gonna be reached with variety to be well-rounded in your fitness.
So that’s gonna mean trying something new at times as well. Or perhaps, something that you haven’t done in a long time that you would like to get back to, something that you lost track of that brings such joy getting back into that. And of course, you wanna spread the joy
By sharing it with others. So having a buddy system, somebody you can enjoy it with, or joining a club that’s a best practice, joining a team, joining a group of people that are committed to that health and wellness, and are expecting you to be there to laugh with and to push in with.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be fun to be fun. It’s the competition sometimes that can be the most fun of all. And a best practice here, a vital behavior is to schedule it. If we don’t schedule it, somehow, life has a way of just filling that in.
So we call it fun, we call it play, we talk about playing sports, exercise should be play. So schedule your playtime.
