6- Multivitamins
Quality multivitamins are one of the most important nutritional supplements for optimal health. According to the CDC, most Americans cannot meet their nutritional needs through diet alone. A 2018 CDC study found that only 13.1 percent of Americans ate enough fruit, and only 8.9 percent ate enough veggies. Other studies have shown that the foods we eat today contain lower levels of essential vitamins and minerals than those we consumed decades ago, possibly due to depleted soils.

5- B vitamins
Vitamin B12 is found only in animal products, so strict vegetarians may need a supplement. Additionally, many older adults do not produce enough stomach acid to release B12 from animal products for absorption. But B12 is also added to fortified cereals and other foods, and this synthetic form of B12 is easily absorbed even without stomach acid. This means that one bowl of cereal can provide 2.4 micrograms (mcg) of your daily RDA. However, if the intake of fortified grains is erratic, B12 supplementation is reasonable.

4- Fish oil
Fish oil supplements give the body essential omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for regulating inflammation. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to our health for countless reasons and can only be obtained through diet and supplements. Adequate levels of omega-3 are necessary for proper cardiovascular, immune, respiratory, and musculoskeletal health. They have been revealed to regulate blood pressure, maintain a healthy weight, regulate the immune system, support a positive mood, and promote muscle and joint health.

3- Magnesium
Magnesium is another essential nutrient for optimal health, as it is required for more than 600 enzyme reactions in the body. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 75 percent of U.S. adults do not meet the FDA’s recommended daily intake. Those at greatest risk of magnesium deficiency are those who eat a lot of processed foods, have abnormal blood sugar or diabetes, use heavy alcohol, diuretics, or proton pump inhibitors, have gastrointestinal disorders, take antibiotics for a long time, or have a lack of vitamin D.

2- Vitamin D
It is estimated that 88 percent of the population consumes less than optimal levels of vitamin D. Although the body naturally makes vitamin D through exposure to sunlight, sunlight is often not enough to meet the body’s needs. Many factors can limit the body’s ability to convert sunlight into vitamin D, including limited sun exposure in winter, older age, darker skin pigmentation, and the use of sunscreen and clothing that shade the skin. Vitamin D is needed to maintain proper skeletal integrity, proper neuromuscular function, muscle strength, normal inflammatory response, proper calcium absorption, healthy immune response, and normal blood pressure.

1-Probiotics
Probiotics are essential for maintaining gut health, making them an important supplement for optimal health as we digest and absorb nutrients through the gut.

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that boost gut function greatly. The intestines also contain harmful bacteria and pathogens that can reduce intestinal function and cause disease. Maintaining a good balance of “good” and “bad” bacteria in the gut is important for overall health. Even when we eat a balanced diet and supplement with vitamins and other nutrients, an imbalance of bacteria in the gut can cause nutrient deficiencies. Studies show that it complements the probiotic immune function to support health, inflammatory control, and proper brain health and weight management. It also helps to compensate for some harmful side effects of using common drugs (such as NSAIDs and antibiotics).
