Orange Citrus Chutney Recipe | Cook With Us | Well+Good

This simple chutney is perfect to be paired with so many of our favorite proteins like chicken, seafood, beef and other meats. This vitamin c packed dish is sure to become one of your favorite sides.

Not only will your kitchen smell amazing but the best thing about this chutney is that it can be stored in a glass jar and saved to add some extra flavor to future dishes.

Orange Citrus Chutney Recipe:

Ingredients:
2 tbsp sunflower seed oil
1 medium onion, roughly chopped
2 cloves of garlic minced
2 tbsp canned hot peppers
8 clementines washed and cut into eight pieces with the rind remaining
2 Preserved lemons cut into quarters
¾ cup white vinegar
1 inch of fresh ginger, minced
1 cup palm/date sugar

Instructions:
1. Heat a dutch oven or heavy bottomed pan over medium heat. Add oil, onion and garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes until translucent.
2. Add peppers , clementines and lemons. Cook for for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add vinegar, ginger and sugar. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook covered for 45min.
