Late-stage trial data shows the Covid vaccine is greater-than 90% effective in preventing infection. Results based on the first interim efficacy analysis. Phase 3 study is ongoing and additional data could affect results. Preliminary findings: 94 participants who got the 2-dose vaccine were protected. Positive trial results could lead to shot being available for use by end of the year.
