Giloy is a medicinal plant native to south Asia and africa and is a very essential ingredient used in Ayurveda.

Ayurveda uses Giloy/Guduchi/Amrita as decoction /kwath /churna, / satt, extract in various formulations
Giloy is ussed as Rasayana (Rejuvenation therapy) for its anti ageing properties.

It cures all types of fever including chronic and sever flu like conditions
in malaria, cold flu, swine flu, chickungunya, etc.

One of best herb for diabetes melitus, its a potent hypoglycemic herb, best to prepare a decoction /kadha using giloy but no sugar/jaggery /honey.

Also boosts immunity
Fights against URTI( throat infections)
and cough, cold, when use along with black pepper, turmeric and tulsi.

Cure arthritis / body ache when used along with ashwagandha.

Beneficial in mental conditions like anxiety /depression /sleeplessness /insomnia when consumed along with ashwagandha and bramhi.

RECOMMENDED DOSE:

1.when used as kadha, prepare a cup of kwath by boiling 4 cups of water with 1tsp of giloy powder/giloy satva/ 5-6inch long fresh giloy stem twice a day in empty stomach, honey or jaggery or black salt /lemon juice can be added as per liked.

2. Make fresh juice from giloy stem and tender stem and leaves and drink in morning on empty stomach.

CONTRADICTIONS :

1. Avoid taking it in pregnancy or breast feeding time
2. If you have low blood sugar levels consult your doctor before using it.

3. if you feel constipated after its regular use consult your doctor.
