Immunity Booster Drink ,HOW TO BOOST IMMUNITY ,Herbal Drink

today in my video, I’m walking you through how to make immunity booster drink(my morning elixir), which is a must have for the current situation!!

If you often fall ill, it means your body’s immunity is low. You can strengthen it with the help of this immunity booster drink which is a blend of several herbs and spices that are valued for its indispensable healing properties which keeps you healthy from within.

Health Benefiting properties of all the ingredients used in this drink are as follows:

Turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.

Black Pepper is used to activate the curcumin in the turmeric.

Cumin The presence of vitamin C in cumin seeds helps bolster the immunity system. It also has many antibacterial properties that keep infections and diseases at bay.

Fenugreek seeds or powder is loaded with multiple vitamins and minerals. It can easily regulate the blood sugar level and avoid constipation as well.

Star Anise Star anise is full of antioxidants which help in boosting immunity and reduces risks of infections and diseases.

Garlic is known to boost the function of the immune system, and in studies it has been shown to reduce the symptoms of a common cold.

Ginger has a very long history of use in traditional and alternative medicine. It has been used to help digestion, reduce nausea and help fight the common cold and other illnesses, to name a few. It also gives the immune booster shot a little zing.

Honey is rich in antioxidants and is often used to soothe sore throats. It adds a natural sweetness to the drink.

Lemon juice is very high in vitamin C and can help to support heart and digestive health.

Cinnamon fights inflammation and helps ward off infections and heal damaged tissue. This aromatic spice is a rich source of antioxidants like polyphenols and proanthocyanidins that give a boost to the immune system. Moreover it has antiviral, antibacterial and anti fungal properties that help reduce the chances of respiratory diseases and seasonal infections.

Clove Commonly known as the winter spice, which has incredible immunity boosting abilities. It is used in Ayurvedic remedies for cough and cold, and also works well to shield your body against infections.

Nutmeg is a slightly sweet ground spice that contains powerful antioxidants which protect cells from damage caused by free radicals and also has anti-inflammatory properties which can help to prevent adverse health conditions such as arthritis, diabetes and heart disease. (Attention: Consuming a huge amount of Nutmeg can complicate your bodily processes as it is a potent spice meant to be used in small quantities.
Nutmeg toxicity can cause serious symptoms:
* Nausea
* Rapid heartbeat
* Hallucinations
* Vomiting and agitation

Cardamom The fragrant spice comes in two forms – green and black. Both of them are very effective in boosting immunity. The aromatic seeds help to prevent respiratory infections, coughs, colds and asthma.

Tulsi or the holy basil is touted as the queen among medicinal herbs. It acts as a natural immune system booster and keep infections at bay. It protects against nearly all infections from viruses, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa. Tulsi leaves extract increases the T helper cells and natural killer cells activity, boosting the immune system.

Mint The cool and refreshing mint leaves can cleanse your palette. They are excellent in easing stomach relates problems, respiratory illness, some allergic reactions and even aid weight loss.

Recipe

Recipe yields 2 servings

Ingredients(15):

3 cups of water
1 Spoon – Crushed Whole Turmeric & Ginger
6 Garlic cloves (crushed)
1 Tsp Fenugreek /Lemon zest (optional)
1 Tsp Cumin
2 Star Anise (optional)
Crush the following spices using a mortar and pestle
1 Tsp peppercorns
6 cloves
1/2 Tsp ground Nutmeg = 1/4 Whole Nutmeg (optional)
3 Green Cardamoms
2 Black Cardamoms
1-2 Cinnamon sticks
5-6 Basil/Tulsi leaves
8-10 Mint Leaves
1 Lemon
Honey/Jaggery(optional to taste)

Instructions:

In a vessel, add 3 cups of water, heat it up, then add peeled & crushed turmeric, ginger, and garlic cloves. When it starts boiling, add the mixture of 5 crushed spices (Peppercorns, Cloves, Nutmeg, Cardamoms, and Cinnamon Sticks). Bring the content to a brisk boil, then add the Basil and/or Mint Leaves. (You can opt to add the lemon juice and honey just before consuming when the concoction is warm) Switch off the flame and allow it to cool down for 10-15 mins.
Strain and Drink!!!
You can take a glass of this drink daily instead of tea/coffee or on alternative days. You can even store it and then just reheat before consuming.
