I am pretty sure just about everyone has heard of pineapple. It is very popular around the world and is known for its sweet, delicious taste. It will make your mouth water just thinking about it. Plus they are loaded with natural, pure water. On top of that, it provides our bodies with great health benefits. It can be consumed in the forms of juices, slices, jams, and even as a syrup.

It also does some good to our organs. It improves blood circulation, immune system health, hearth health, digestion and respiratory functions. Other awesome benefits that pineapples provide are the ability to fight flus, colds, parasites and infections. Pretty great right?

But that is still not all it does. Pineapples assist in preventing cancer and helping you lose weight. Though it can be found around the world, pineapples originate from South America.

Pineapples are also loaded with excellent nutrients that fuel the body. These include Vitamins B and C, beta-carotene and pectin, which are insoluble and soluble fibers. Also as mentioned earlier, they are full of water, which makes them very juicy.

You will find even more minerals in pineapples, including potassium, manganese, calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc. Now that’s just awesome. It also contains an enzyme that assists with protein digestion, called bromelain.

Pineapples are a great diuretic because it is packed with water. This means it helps reduce liquid retention within the body. Another way it helps with weight loss is its ability to eliminate the craving of sweets. If you are trying to lose weight, then consider eating two slices of pineapple with sprinkled cinnamon over the top of them. You will want to do this in the mornings.

The enzyme, bromelain, teamed up with high amounts of vitamin C from the pineapple, helps remove and clear up mucus and phlegm from the essential respiratory system. To do this you will need 2 cups of diced pineapples, juice from 1 lemon and 1 tablespoon of ginger. Next, place all of these into a blender and blend well.

Once again, bromelain assists with another issue many people deal with. It has an excellent anti-inflammatory effect along with breaking down complex proteins. This anti-inflammatory effect reduces the symptoms and signs of arthritis. To take full advantage of this, drink a cup of pineapple juice on an empty stomach in the morning. Don’t eat anything before or right after drinking this juice. You do not need to add sugar since this drink will be very sweet, naturally.

Another thing to consider is to only eat yellow, ripe pineapples. Watch out for green pineapples because they can cause diarrhea and cause you to puke. Not to mention, they are toxic for you. On top of that, the acidity of the fruit can lead to stomatitis, canker sores, and other annoying sores in your mouth. If you possess any of these conditions, refrain from consuming pineapples.
