#VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) is a naturally occurring neuropeptide found in the body. Recently, treatment of sever Covid19 patients with VIP lead to rapid improvement and clinical recovery. This has prompted the initiation of a clinical trial for the use of this peptide to treat severe Covid19 patients. Herein, I discuss with a foremost VIP expert about this discovery and its potential use as a therapeutic for Covid19.
