I take vitamins regularly and Vitamin C is one I wont compromise on taking. I was pleased to see Schiff Biotin + Vitamin C contained a considerable amount of Vitamin C (75 mg, 83% DV), though I wish it contained 100% DV.
I also appreciated there was some Zinc and Selenium thrown in there (5 mg, 45% DV and 55 mcg, 100% DV, respectively).
This supplement contains a whopping 2000 mcg Biotin, which is 6667% DV and after almost two weeks of daily supplementation, I must say Ive noticed an improvement in my hair and nails.
My nails, which used to have horizontal ridges on them, arent developing any new ridges at the base. My hair is looking shinier and feeling thicker at the roots.
I also love that the supplement is non-GMO, gluten-free, and the colors are from natural sources.
Im not sure how long I want or need to take this much Biotin, but considering both Biotin and Vitamin C are water-soluble, Im not concerned as I can easily eliminate any excess in my urine each day.
Aside from falling short on Vitamin C, my only minor complaint is that this supplement is a little expensive, but it is packing a Biotin punch, so its definitely worth it if youre looking to improve your hair, skin, and nails!
The box it comes in is nice and seems like its environmentally-friendly, too (recyclable). I had no issues with swallowing the capsules, and they had little to no taste.
I will likely repurchase this supplement in the future on an as-needed basis, especially if the price is right.
