Aloe Vera Drink For Beautiful Skin & Hair

Aloe vera is widely used in skincare products due to its amazing benefits.
This has antiviral and antibacterial properties and the potential to help with anything from constipation to diabetes.
The green-looking succulent plant in our garden is a part of a million-dollar industry that ranges from skincare products to raw and organic juices and nutritional supplements.
I always try to include aloe vera in my daily routine mostly to apply to skin and hair.
But recently I started to consume it and it has a lot of health benefits.

You’ll Need:
a medium-size aloe vera leaf
Juice of half a lemon
honey as per taste (optional)
300 ml of water
Cut the aloe vera leaf from the plant and keep the leaf straight in a glass so that it can release the toxic yellow substance.
Leave the leaf in an upright position for 30 minutes, then wash the leaf and cut the white root part if you have it in your leaf.
Now once clean and pat dry peel the aloe vera skin with a sharp knife.
Start by removing the thorns, and then the rest of the green skin.
The green skin is toxic, so remove all the skin.
Separate the gel and rinse it underwater.
Now add the fresh aloe pulp to a blender, add lemon juice and blend it until a smooth liquid.
Now add the water and run the blender once again so that it can be well combined.
In a glass add a few ice cubes pour the aloe juice and lastly add some honey for the sweetener.
garnish it with mint leaves.
This is a very refreshing summer drink.
That you can consume it’s healthy it’s tasty, it’s gluten-free.

Which Aloe vera species are edible?
The aloe plant does have more than 500 species but very few are considered safe to consume.
Not all of the aloe vera species are safe to eat.
Aloe vera, that we grow as a houseplant that is not meant to be eaten.
Instead, buy large aloe vera leaves in the supermarket’s production section.
Not all supermarkets are carrying aloe vera plants. You might have to go to an organic grocery store to find aloe vera which is safe to consume.
Other aloe species may not be suitable for consumption, so please check them thoroughly before you eat, drink or apply them to your skin.
