Global COVID-19 infections have surged past 15 million. Cases in the US, Brazil and India make up almost half that number. Dr Ramanan Laxminarayan is affiliate professor, director and senior fellow at the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy at the University of Washington. He shared his thoughts on governments controlling the spread of the coronavirus, as well as development and trial of vaccines.
