Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) is an anti-malarial and rhematoid arthritis drugs that was found to effective in previous coronavirus outbreaks with SARS in 2002. Dr. Zelenko developed a protocol to treat 100’s of COVID-19 patients in Monroe, NY and thus spurred the medical community around the world to do further research on hydroxychloroquine.
