Yes we can get some Vitamin D from the sun and food – but are they enough?

I discuss what issues can restrict the amounts we get from these methods and why most of us will need vitamin D supplements inclduing babies, toddlers, adults pregnant women and older people.

The evidence suggests that taking Vitamin D supplements does not treat or prevent Covid-19, but it is an important in other key aspects.

There are studies that indicate it is important in preventing some respiratory infections like viral influenza.

You may need vitamin D supplements as a well-baby or child, and adult – to prevent you from having low vitamin D levels. This could be if you do not eat foods rich in vitamin D or cannot get much sunlight.
