Coronavirus: 'Kashaya' is Bengaluru Police’s immunity booster

Bengaluru: Police stations in Bengaluru are producing ‘kashaya’ (a kind of juice), an immunity booster to its officers and staff to stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic. ACP Tabarak Fathima said the idea of kashaya came from IPS officer Dr Sharanappa. She added that during the outbreak of the coronavirus, the IPS officer has said to use the ayurvedic kashaya, which is an excellent immunity booster to stay safe during the pandemic.

Fathima added that the initiative was first started at Pulakeshinagar sub division. Now in more than five police stations, the immunity boosters are prepared. She also said the kashaya is served to the staff and officials twice in a day and this kashaya helps in building confidence too.
