There are a few things we can do, in our houses and/or businesses, to aid the fight against the pandemic:
1. Stay home. Don’t go out unless you have to
2. If you must please use Social distancing
3. Use protective clothing such as face masks and gloves. If you can’t purchase the face masks in your local area here is a brief video explaining how to make them on your own. These are actually reusable thus more environmentally friendly. Make a few and keep in mind to wash them every 2-3 hours and iron them over to sterilize.
4. Follow personal hygiene guidelines;
4.a. Avoid touching surfaces that collect germs and viruses. If you end up touching those surfaces, use hand sanitizers or wash your hands thoroughly with soap. Rubbing alcohol and alcohol prep pads: should be a minimum of 60% or more alcohol.
4.b. If you sneeze, cover your face the proper way
4.c. Consider paying with credit cards, online or over the phone for purchases as opposed to using cash
4.d. Eliminate handshakes and other personal contacts
4.e. Don’t touch your face or eyes prior to washing your hands thoroughly. It’s recommended to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. Make certain to wash them thoroughly, between the fingers and both sides of your hands
5. Drink vitamin C to prevent from getting sick, and if already sick, drink vitamins which have zinc in it. Zinc is proven to to reduce the length of colds when taken within 24 hours after symptoms start
6. Exercise and stay hydrated
Consider creating a routine by adding an extra hour of cleaning dedicated to sanitizing and disinfecting only. If you would like to learn more about differences between cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting, click the link below
!Remember to thoroughly hit all areas which spread germs such as doorknobs, light switches, keyboards, telephone receivers, trash can lids and etc.!
If you subcontract out for your cleaning, consider adding an extra hour for these purposes only. One extra hour can make a world of difference and provide you, your family, and your business with peace of mind.
