MCT Oil (short for medium chain triglycerides), are a set of saturated fatty acids that work differently. Due to their shorter structure, they’re absorbed quickly for rapid energy.
This provides some VERY unique benefits, as discussed on @PricePlow’s IG Live (and now posted here on YouTube).
Research has shown that supplemented MCT yields benefits such as decreased appetite (via increased satiety), enhanced cognition, greater beta-oxidation (fat burning) rates, gut health improvements, and possible immune system health as well.
For powdered MCT Oil, we love C8Vantage, that comes in both vegan and dairy-based forms to make INCREDIBLE coffee creamers:
The four MCTs:
* Caproic acid (C6)
* Caprylic acid (C8) — our favorite
* Capric acid (C10)
* Lauric acid (C12) — our least favorite.
C6 is extremely potent, but also extremely BITTER, so it’s removed. C12 is least effective for the dieting effects (although very effective for other things), so our favorite MCT oils and powders have it removed.
These can be found most heavily in coconut oil and palm fruit oil, but there are other source as well, such as dairy fat.
