Turbocharge the immune system
The immune system requires a few elements for it to remain strong and healthy.
This will be important to help in assisting the safety regulations in combating any risks of infection during the post-Covid 19 lockdown.
Our daily vitamin C requirements will be proportional to the level of immune threat, level of tiredness, and stress levels.
It is pumped into our system and acts as the fuel for immune cells whenever they are needed.
Vitamin C cannot work alone, it needs vitamin D to work efficiently.
When a virus is detected, vitamin D mobilises the immune system, and then the immune system uses vitamin C to carry out its defensive actions.
Vitamin C and D work hand in hand, but when vitamin D is called into action it happens to deplete Magnesium levels.
Therefore we need to have sufficient Magnesium stores to ensure that vitamin D works efficiently.
Another important mineral is Zinc.
It keeps inflammation in check by ensuring that the immune system operates at the correct places.
Also, Vitamins B6 and B12 build anti-bodies and these are also important parts of our immune system.
To ensure that our immune system is on point, consume Vitamin C, B6, B12 and D, as well as Zinc and Magnesium.
