1) Record 6,977 new COVID-19 cases in India.
India recorded the largest one-day rise in COVID-19 cases for the fourth consecutive day on Monday with 6,977 new infections, reported in the past 24 hours, raising the country’s tally to 1,38,845, while the death toll rose to more than 4000,according to the union health ministry.
148 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.
2) Air India can operate non-scheduled international flights with middle seats booking.
‘National carrier Air India shall be allowed to operate non-scheduled foreign flights with middle seats booking for next 10 days’, the Supreme Court observed on Monday. Notably, the court was hearing an urgent petition filed by Centre and Air India against Bombay High Court order that has directed the airline to keep middle seats vacant in international flights.

6) Reliance starts trials of JioMart shopping portal across India.
Reliance Industries Ltd has started testing its online grocery shopping portal across India, still under a nationwide lockdown to control the spread of the coronavirus.
JioMart is now delivering in more than 200 cities, Damodar Mall, the chief executive officer of Reliance Retail’s grocery business said in a tweet. JioMart last month started a pilot project serving users in three neighbourhoods surrounding Mumbai.
