Dark Skinned comrades, melanin reduces the skins ability to produce vitamin D from sun exposure. Even if you do go outside more, you should probably take a vitamin D supplement too just in case.
In the rapidly changing world of COVID related research there’s a lot to talk about. Sadly, very little of this research has been peer reviewed, but the parts that have been corroborated by multiple studies suggest that there are some interesting ways that might help our immune systems fight back.
Of course, as is usually the case with rushed research, it can be difficult to be sure we’re drawing the right conclusions, so it would be wise to continue observing social distancing guidelines and practicing caution in indoor environments, and in fact, a lot of this research confirms our fears about the dangers of indoor communal environments.
