Make Liquid Mixture
Combine lemon, soy sauce, maple syrup, and chopped garlic in bowl.
Set aside…
Make Spice Mixture
Combine all dry spices in bowl
Place a pan on medium heat. Add oil, onions and sauté them until clear 2-3 min. Pour spice blend stir for 1 min.
Add chopped jackfruit stir to evenly coat 2-3 min
Add liquid mixture to jackfruit, and salt to taste since soy sauce has sodium.
stir occasionally to break up the jackfruit until liquid is evaporated and the jackfruit darkens should starts to look like shredded meat about 5-7 min. If texture isn’t tender add 1/4 cup water and cook out till liquid is gone for about 5 more mins.
