Watch again: Chris Whitty answers coronavirus questions from MPs

Health and Social Care Committee questions the Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty on how well prepared the UK is to deal with the impact of a possible coronavirus global pandemic.

The UK Government’s Chief Medical Adviser, will be asked to detail current planning to deal with an upsurge in cases of coronavirus, preventative measures to safeguard public health, options for containing the virus and how prepared the NHS is to deal with a major outbreak. It is the first hearing of the new Health and Social Care Committee.
