Wouldn’t it be great if ‘immunity’ just came in a pill and popping it wards off diseases forever? Sadly, the world does not work like that, at least the Earth.
It takes months if not years to build stronger immunity. It requires dietary changes and lifestyle changes. Most of all, it requires a commitment to achieving a healthier and disease-free body.
Now, the changes start in your kitchen really. Apart from eating a wholesome diet, paying attention to the intake of certain vitamins is crucial. Vitamin C must be included in your diet to boost immunity since it is rich in antioxidants. You can also eat foods rich in Vitamin E and B6 for building stronger immunity.
Foods like amla, broccoli, kiwi, orange, papaya, red, green or yellow pepper, strawberries, and tomatoes are Vitamin C. Likewise, Vitamin E is also rich in antioxidants and it helps fight free radicals thereby strengthening the immune system. Foods rich in Vitamin E include sunflower seeds, walnuts and almonds.
Consuming Vitamin B6 is also good for the immune system since it improves immunity by increasing the production of antibodies. Apart from this, Vitamin D levels should be maintained for better immunity. This can be achieved by spending some time under the sun.
Remember, a stronger immune system is the key to fighting several diseases and staying healthy!
