The latest round of “COVID numbers” released by the Lowy Institute suggesting only “68 percent of Australians feel less favourable towards China’s system of Government” are surprisingly low, according to Sky News host Chris Smith.
Given China’s “blatant muzzling of free speech, it’s cruel treatment of dissidents, and it’s communist DNA,” the statistics should be around 98 percent,” he said.
The survey also shows Australian’s think China has outperformed America with 31 percent of people saying China has handled the outbreak very or fairly well.
Mr Smith said this was far too “generous a reaction, given their creepy and secretive handling of the virus from the beginning”.
