How the doctor who survived coronavirus beat the disease

A doctor who contracted COVID-19 and survived spoke Tuesday of her experience saying the illness felt like a “ver, very bad dose of the flu.”

Clare Gerada, a General Practitioner and former chairperson of the Council of the Royal College of General Practitioners, contracted the illness caused by the new coronavirus in New York.

She described it as a grim illness, adding she felt “really unwell.”
