Visual Cycle and Vitamin A

This video explains the molecular mechanism and all the process involved specially in connection with role of vitamin A in the low light vision or dim light vision. vitamin A specially 11 -sis retinal is involved in the low light vision. Rhodopsin which contains opsin and 11-cis retinal is photodegraded in the low light and transducin is activated to initiate vision process.
