Another update on remdesivir from David. The effectiveness of its treatment is debated. One study, run under the auspices of the US NIH, seemed to show remdesivir reduces time in hospital (11 days vs 15 days to recovery with no statistical reduction in deaths). Meanwhile, a Chinese study of similar quality said there was no benefit of the drug. While we wait on larger study results that are underway, remdesivir is now the new standard against which others will be compared.
