After cleansing, pat dry then apply your vit C serum. Follow with a moisturizer and then add a layer of SPF if you’re heading outdoors or working by a window. Keep your Vit C serum out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place.
I counsel my patients to save on their cleanser, skip the toner, skip an eye cream, but splurge on their Vitamin C. It’s actually quite $$ to formulate a stable, potent, aesthetically pleasing vit C serum that doesn’t feel tacky or clog your pores. It’s even more $$ to put that final formulation to the test and make sure it truly delivers on human skin (not just in a petri dish). A high quality formulation will deliver better results, so I think it’s worth it!
