COVID-19

April 22, 2020 COVID Coronavirus update

Current status of disorganized Oklahoma State response led by Governor Stitt. The sudden release of contradictory guidelines for emergency and elective surgery today illustrates how the governor has completely let go of the rational administration of proper healthcare guidance. A review of similar issues at the NIH highlighted by Dr. Rick Birch who deemed Plaquenil only utilizable in seriously ill hospitalized patients versus for outpatient therapy is discussed. It highlights the overall FDA position to only use BIG PHARMA solutions which cost millions if not billions of dollars to administer versus cost-effective strategies. As the data continues to accumulate the focus on COVID treatment has to be on prevention with nutritional maintenance combined with early use of safe medicines. The primary need with Plaquenil is to be studied on the initiation of the COVID diagnosis and for prevention. Not for end-stage treatment. A review of nutritional needs including new data on VITAMIN C is given.
