Case the last few months because I haven’t done a faves and fails since the end of November so it’s been a couple of months and so it’s time to let you know what I loved and what I didn’t love so much before we get into the things that
I tested over the last couple months just wanted to mention a couple things with like the picture and the sound uh my camera was giving me trouble with focusing especially when I came in close or held up a product and so I got a new camera and I’ve got it on a different
Kind of focus more responsive hopefully it will be better and hopefully the picture quality is as good as always with me in focus and the background a little bit out of focus and the other thing that you might be noticing is a little different is the sound so I’d
Gotten a few comments about the sound in my videos that it was sometimes a little tinny or Hollow the room I’m in doesn’t have a lot of soft things a lot of hard walls so I went ahead and I got some uh sound diffusers and put them up on the
Walls I also got a new microphone which is this little white blob that you see here in the corner and uh hopefully by doing those two things the sound will be much much better so let me know if it sounds okay let me know if the picture

Couple of faves and fails I couldn’t really test much skin care because I was testing the Nero device and of course that is a fave because I had great results with that that was the Nero Pro but I’ve talked about that a lot in the last couple videos so I wanted to talk
About new things in today’s video so since I’ve finished with that I’ve been actually able to start testing new and different skin care so one of the things that I was really excited to test is a new vitamin C serum from someone who is a fellow influencer a cosmetic that I
Follow on Instagram his name is kind of Steven and his new company is poems from the lab and his first product is a stable vitamin C serum called future Focus so this vitamin C serum does have 15% Alis corbic acid it’s at a pH of 3.2 so it’s formulated pretty similar to The
Standard vitamin C serums that I love with the low PH it also does contain ferulic acid which is one of the helper antioxidants the look and feel and consistency of this vitamin C serum is really beautiful it comes out crystal clear all you need is a few drops to
Treat your whole face the feel of it is slightly thicker than say the Timeless vitamin C serum this you could put a few drops on your fingers it’s not going to run all over the place this one does have a little bit longer of a rub in and
It does have a slightly grippy finish at the end which I don’t mind because as you know I put things over right on top of it and then that kind of grippy feeling goes away after I’ve rubbed in my neck couple of things so that doesn’t
Bother me I like the finish on it it’s not overly shiny and overly dewy what makes this product more stable than your standard vitamin C serum is really the packaging and I’m not sure exactly how this works but it seems like there’s something that is blocking air from
Getting into the tube it also does block the serum from getting out a little bit and so it does take a pretty hard squeeze to get out a few drops of this which is why they include this little part here which is called the beam and
So as you use your serum you can squeeze this down the tube almost like a toothpaste tube squeezer and that’ll help you get the serum out PMS from the lab makes this in small batches and so you’re getting a fresh product that will last for the full 8 months the price on
This is a little bit steep for me it’s $89 but if it’s going to last you for8 months $89 for this product is only about $10 a month for a really great stable V vitamin C serum that you don’t have to throw away half of it in 3 months when it oxidizes so

Instagram so an influencer dermatologist and I really like the look of this formula because the price point was $23 for an ounce and it does have 15% lisc corbic acid it’s formulated at a pH of 3.2 this does have a third antioxidant in it called Ergo thionine and that’s a
Really interesting one it’s derived mainly from mushrooms and most of the study on that antioxidant is from ingesting it from it being in your food supply and on studies on skin cells in the lab it looks like it can do some of the same things that vitamin E can do
Such as regenerate vitamin C this formula also contains niacinamide so you’re definitely going to get a brightening of your skin with this the prequel vitamin C is much more of a watery liquid more like the feeling of the Timeless so you know will run through your fingers but you know you
Just squeeze them together tight it does absorb really really quickly just like the Timeless and just like the Timeless this doesn’t really leave any kind of a tack or stickiness on the surface of your skin so it rubs right in and in addition to the prequel vitamin C I also
Picked up their mineral sunscreen and their barrier therapy skin protect face and body lotion so let’s talk about the sunscreen first this is an SPF 50 with a pa+++ plus rating and it’s got 18% zinc oxide the sunscreen has a slight pink tint to it I put on my normal quar
Teaspoon to test it on my face and my neck and it did leave me a slight white cast but the thing that I really didn’t enjoy the most about this was the shine once I rubbed it in this was just so shiny on my face I just felt like I
Looked wet it doesn’t feel particularly greasy going on it actually feels very nice and lightweight and I like the texture of it a lot it also didn’t really seem to dry back completely during the day so my face felt a little tacky and a little damp all day the
Other thing I didn’t love about it is it didn’t sting when I put it on but that night when I washed my face oh my gosh my skin was on fire it was burning and it was kind of burning for the next couple of days and I think the
Ingredient in here that um has me irritated is the butil Oyl salicylate which is an SPF booster being a salicylate it’s related to salicylic acid and you know salicylic acid just does not get along with my skin it makes my face flush red and burn I mean it
Could be the but Oyl salicylate it could be any other ingredient in the formula you just don’t know this isn’t going to be a fave for this month this was actually a fail for me then the third product I got from prequel is their barrier repair skin protectant cream
Look at the size of this tube I didn’t realize this was going to be so big this was $18 for 10 oz of lotion and I was so psyched about this because this has the ceramides in it that I love having in my face cream ceramides are fatty lipids
That naturally are occurring in our skin but as we get older we produce less and less of them and so you can apply them from the outside in to help your skin stay more plump and firm looking this has got five ceramides it’s got glycerin it’s got shea butter it’s got a denzine
In it it also contains colloidal oatmeal and so it has the same ingredient that my favorite anti-irritation cream has this is a really nice feeling lotion it’s just like a standard white body cream you can also use this on your face it’s not super heavy weight at this
Point I have like three different body lotions that I love they all contain different things so this is a new one in my body lotion Arsenal with the ceramides in it this is a longtime love the alpha renewal which has the glycolic acid in it that’ll help the dead skin on
The surface to turn over so you’ll look less crepey less wrinkly but then the third body lotion that I really love there’s actually two is the ver press restart gentle retinol body lotion and of course the Gold Bond retinol overnight lotion so I’ll either use this
One or the Gold Bond overnight lotion I can just rotate them around Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and I I am good to go that way okay a couple more body skincare items I snuck away for a quick little vacation at the beginning of January and so since
I was going I had to put on my tan from a bottle and I used my beauty by Earth self-tanning lotion in the medium to dark shade I used this twice before I went and then I brought it with me and I put it on like every third day while I
Was there and it kept me really nice and tan I’ll always put on a tan before I go but I never feel like I look tan once I get out in like the blinding sunlight and this time I actually felt like I look tan and I use this on my face which
I normally don’t use I normally use a coola product for my face but this time I decided to just use this and oh my gosh my face looked so nice and tan I also feel like that it moisturizes your skin it actually helps to to maintain
The tan longer and while I was there I ran out of sunscreen you know my favorite sunscreen is either the banana boat light is air talking about for my body or the Hawaiian Tropic can’t remember what it’s called and it was a very small selection in the store that I
Went into but they had this one called aloe up and I really like this I found this formula to be really hydrating it didn’t feel heavy and greasy on the skin it feels very much like a moisturizer going on but it does dry back and then
It was comfortable and set and I felt like my skin was protected I have a new body sunscreen in my Arsenal so that was a fave that I discovered this month and then the last thing in body type skincare is that I tried a new natural deodorant you guys know that I
Discovered Lumi lately and I love Lumi but I went to buy the solid version of it I was looking on Amazon they didn’t have it and they suggested native instead so I was like yeah let me try the native and see if it works because I
Have friends who use this a lot of people love it so I gave this a try oh my gosh this did not work for me it’s winter here I wasn’t super sweaty and still I was like stinky at the end of the day I love the Lumi solid I love the
Lumi cream they both just work so well for me and so if you’re looking for something that can keep you not smelly then I highly recommend the Lumi and for me the native just didn’t work all right I don’t have a ton of makeup to share
But I do have a few faves that I discovered in a makeup testing video that I did in January and in that one I tried the CI Ray free dreaming skin tint and this was was beautiful when I first put it on and for the first 5 hours that
I wore it it just looked so natural and so skin-like even out in the bright bright Sunshine the problem is that it lasted for about five five and a half 6 hours looking good but by 7 to 10 hours on me kind of crashed and burned and
Didn’t look so good anymore it did settle a little bit in my wrinkles it did settle in my pores one time that I used it with a certain sunscreen so it wasn’t like a perfect Bulletproof skin tint I do still prefer the tarte maracuja skin tint or the SE slip tint
Over this but this was pretty nice for about 5 hours in that same video I tried the beauty counter concealer and oh my gosh you guys I did not realize that this was an MLM I bought this at Ulta and so I just thought oh I think I’ll
Try some beauty counter stuff and then you guys let me know that it was an MLM and so you know I just have a policy of not trying MLM products here on my channel so one slip by me I didn’t love it anyway it really didn’t give me great
Coverage it settled in my wrinkles and it didn’t look good it really wore off I think I only got four decent hours of wear out of it before it was like thin and showing my darkness through so I didn’t love it anyway and let’s just do the last makeup fail since we’re talking
About fails and that’s going to be this little three pack of Lawless forget the filler lip Plumping gloss that I picked up this was like a Sephora holiday special I’m not sure if they still have these but I didn’t love it anyway I thought that these were going to be like
The Buxom full-on lip creams you know they’re Plumping lip creams that have that minty tingle oh I love those they’re so hydrating it’s my favorite lip gloss I love the forget the filler lip balm that has color in it that is beautiful it’s hydrating it looks
Beautiful on the lips these I was like me there’s nothing special about them I felt like they were super sticky I didn’t love the colors they didn’t give me a nice minty tingle they didn’t seem to do any Plumping I also tried a couple of Laura Geller blushes this is the
Laura Geller baked blush and brighten blush in the pink buttercream color and this was really pretty I felt like I put on too much of it it’s very very pigmented even though it doesn’t look super dark on my finger right now I felt like when I dipped my brush in and put
It on it was just too dark for me too Ruddy it didn’t seem to really blend super great but it was really pretty looking and a lot of you guys really loved how it looked for me me it was just okay I much prefer this stick Cream
Blush to the powder blush and this is the one that I’m wearing today and I think that this is just the most beautiful naturall looking blusher and it comes in lots of different colors they sent me this in PR2 they sent me like all the colors this is the one that
I’ve been wearing though is called poppy Peach and I like something that’s just a little bit more summery a little bit more lightweight that gives me a little bit more of a glow to my skin it’s really easy to apply you just twist it up here the blush color comes up into
The little foam puffer guy you stamp it on your cheeks and then blend it with your fingers or a blush and it Blends so beautifully and it has this beautiful Sheen to it so you don’t really need highlighter either um so that’s just the sheen from the blush so this was truly a
Fave this month I love this and it comes in so many great colors so I’ll link that below the video as well then I had tried a new eyeshadow palette that I really really love it’s from Mac every time I went to Ulta I kept seeing this
One eyeballing it being like I kind of want that palette I kind of want that palette so I finally bought it so it’s the connect in color unfiltered nudes palette these are the shades in the palette it’s a very neutral palette very earthy it has a lot of Browns but a lot
Of grayish tones and it does have a really nice mix of mattes and shimmers look at those shimmers those colors are beautiful I wouldn’t even call them shimmers I think they’re satins and that is one of Mac’s real strong suits is making satin eyeshadows because you know
A lot of other palettes they’ll load them up with Glitters and it’s hard to wear Glitters once you get to be a certain age and satins are so much easier to wear so much better on the eyelid they just give you that little bit of light reflectiveness that you
Need to make you look more wide awake but they don’t make you look like a disco ball a glitter bomb this is today’s eye look out of this palette so you can get really warm looks you can get really cool looks it’s a beautiful beautiful beautiful ey shadow palette I
Love it and then the last thing in makeup is just yet another NYX eyeliner I’m having such a love affair with NYX eyeliners right now you know I really like the Epic wear eyeliners this one is their just regular eye pencil and it’s in the shade velvet and it’s really this
Color that I wanted to talk about it doesn’t really look you know like an amazing color in the pencil but when you get it on your eye it just looks so great I use this for my lower waterline liner because I’ve noticed that you know as I’ve gotten older you know black or
Dark colors down there just don’t look as good as they used to when I was younger kind of sad but true and so I think less is more so a shade like this that’s just a little bit darker than my skin tone but has a little bit of a
Shimmer to it it just makes that lower waterline have so much more definition but not in a like heavy dark raccoon ey kind of way um and it’s just so flattering so really loving that I’ve got a few clothing items to share with you one is the outfit that I’m wearing
This sweater and these jeans I’ll put a little insert of it over on one of these sides this top is so cute I love the scallops here at the neckline it’s got a nice Square neckline it’s fairly fitted it’s not super short it’s got little scallop here at the sleeve and I love
This color you know these like muted grayish purples are so my color I mean it matches my nails almost exactly um and then the jeans I have on this is a new brand that I’ve never tried before I was looking for a straight leg pair of
Jeans and I got to say straight leg is one of the hardest fits to get right because a lot of times you look like you’re going out to the farm to do farm work you want them to be straight but not too straight they need to be fitted
In the right areas and these jeans were perfect and I absolutely love them I wanted to share this really pretty sweater that I picked up it’s just so sweet it has such a nice pattern to it um it’s almost got like a little bit of a basket weave and this color is so
Pretty it’s almost like a modeled pink and cream it’s got a boxy hem but it’s so soft and you know me with the Itchy neck this one didn’t itch my neck at all I actually bought this in two colors I bought it in this really beautiful soft
Pink and I also bought it in a really bright orange and then on more of a casual note I picked up this big fuzzy hooded sweatshirt this is so cute and so comfy but it’s not too too hugely oversized and it’s not so bulky that I
Can’t fit it inside my coats but it kept me so warm on those really cold days where it didn’t get above freezing it’s really soft really warm and snuggly very cozy for like curling up by a fire with a book on the weekend and a cup of tea I
Tried a new bra this month you guys I tried the Honey Love bras these have been all over my feed oh my gosh if I see another honey love ad and I was shopping on Nordstrom and they had them on Nordstrom so I was like oh yay free
Shipping both ways in case I don’t like it and well I didn’t like it um I was so surprised because on the ads it looks so good and I like this little crisscross of sheer mesh that it has in the front that’s really pretty the main things
That I didn’t like about this were how it fit me it just really didn’t fit me quite right it had a weird gaposis over here where the bra kind of bulged out over here and I didn’t have anything to put in it um it really didn’t do
Anything for me more than my regular bras that I like a lot third thing is that it’s got the pads in here that aren’t sewn in and so the first time I wash this I know that these are going to come out and I’m never putting them in
Again and I hate bras where they can’t be bothered to sew in to sew in the pads I can’t stand it in bathing suits either but to have it in a bra that I’m going to like wear and wash and wear and wash the pads have to not come out not
Crumple up into little tiny pad balls inside the thing so that you can’t uncrumple them and you can’t get them in there right ever again again so basically it’s good until you wash it the first time and then it’s a mess after that I didn’t think that it was particularly uplifting more than
Anything else and the other thing is it was also supposed to make my side flab and my back flab not hang over the edges of the bra it didn’t do that it wasn’t any like magic miracle I still had the same back flab and side flab that I
