The six to 10 reps is merely A guideline figure. What is the stimulus? It’s that last Rep When you’re trying as hard as you can and you’re barely able to make it the Rep that requires 100% intensity of effort, right? That land, that rat Rep is very special. There is something that goes on physiologically during that last Rep When you’re trying as hard as you can, there is something that goes on physiologically that is responsible for flipping on the growth machinery inside the muscle cell, whether it’s six reps or 10 reps or 15 or perhaps even 20, Don’t do even a half a set more than is suggested. When I say it’s easy to over train, I mean it’s very easy to over train. It’s the concept of specificity once again. Well, so then then the next time you just need to to gauge and use a heavier weight to begin with so that you don’t end up popping out 20 reps All right. And again, 6 to 10 is a suggested guideline.
