What's COVID distancing doing to our immunity against other viruses? | The Drum

One of the short-term benefits of COVID was the normal snotty noses and contagious coughs were pretty much kept at bay.

But it did mean some experts were concerned about so-called ‘immunity debt’ – that kids would normally be exposed to seasonal viruses wouldn’t build up their immunity.

And a virus with similar symptoms to COVID has been spreading over the ditch at a rapid pace – with kids fighting for their lives in intensive care.
