COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in the United States puts herd immunity at risk

Even though many US states now have a surplus of COVID-19 vaccines, a significant number of people have not been inoculated. In Philadelphia, less than half the population over the age of 16 has received at least one dose. In communities of colour, it’s as low as about one in four. Vaccine misinformation is spreading on social media, and it’s most prevalent among people of colour.
