There are fresh concerns that Bali could become a COVID-19 hotspot, as tens of thousands look to celebrate the Balinese Hindu festival of Nyepi, in contravention of the government’s calls for safe distancing. There are no testing facilities in Bali, and only 71 people on the island of four million have been tested for the coronavirus.
