Three of the latest COVID-19 studies suggest that the immune response created by the infection or vaccination might not be effective against the South African variant.
This raises concerns that vaccine producers will have to update the vaccine continuously,…and that people will need to take precautions even after the inoculation.
However, researchers stress that the current vaccination process should continue as it is the best-known protection against the virus.
The South African variant has so far been found in at least 22 countries, including South Korea,…which has reported 2 cases as of Saturday.
