Hack #1 – Get Some Form of Physical Activity Every Day, with a more intense exercise just 3 days a week.
My goal has always been to achieve the best physique possible with the least commitment and effort. So I’m not saying you need to do some intense HIIT workout with a 3-mile run every day to get in shape. All I’m saying is to simply not be a potato all day. This physical activity can be a variety of things, from a short walk, to walking up and down your stairs a few times, to even playing the Wii. Something little that’s actually helped me is doing a quick 2-minute workout when I first wake up, a few squats, lunges, and pushups to start the day can make a world of difference. This leads me to the next part of this, and that’s getting a more intense workout just 3 days a week, I typically do mine on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Again, this doesn’t need to be anything crazy. But a solid 30 minute to an hour high-intensity workout 3 days a week is the secret to getting in amazing shape. I’d recommend doing a good bodyweight workout or calisthenics, if you’re at that level to get there, fortunately there are a TON of resources out there right now to find great bodyweight exercises, and even better, the next video I will be releasing will be walking through the exact bodyweight workout I do three times a week 🙂
Hack #2 – Track your macros.
Tracking macros isn’t fun, and I honestly don’t typically track them on normal occasions, but with times like these, and if you’re serious about getting in great shape, it is absolutely necessary. Plus once you get in the hang of it, it’s really not that bad, it just becomes second nature. To figure out how many macros you should be eating every day, just go to the internet and google it. I’d recommend these guys right here, they’ll ask a few questions and spit out a precise and accurate number of each macro you should be consuming every day. As far as actually tracking your macros and figuring how much is in everything you eat, I’d go with the free app “My Fitness Pal” I put the link to their app in the description. Tracking your macros is an excellent way of getting the right amount of proteins, carbs, and fats in order to get absolutely shredded.
Hack #3 – Don’t buy bad foods.
This is the easiest and simplest step in this whole video. If you don’t buy bad food and keep out of your house, then you won’t eat bad food! This is one of the easiest ways to start eating healthier.
Hack #4 – Get your Sleep.
I know this one is basic but it’s absolutely vital. Staying up until 2 am and waking up unrested just isn’t worth it, especially if you want to get in good shape quickly. You need to sleep for your body to replenish and fuel up for the next day. Without sleep, your muscles have no chance to repair themselves and grow. Sleep actually increases lean muscle mass and promotes fat loss, like it actually does, so get your sleep.
Hack #5 – Get Sunlight.
This one is kind of a bonus step and I guess it isn’t totally vital to getting in great shape, but in my opinion, it significantly helps me stay in shape for a few good reasons. First is vitamin D. Vitamin D is actually a vital nutrient for a great physique. There’s actually been plenty of studies proving that vitamin D has a direct link to a healthier cardiovascular system and lean muscle mass. So getting sun is super important for this reason. Next, it actually links to hack 4 and provides better sleep. Countless studies have shown that daily sunlight provides better sleep cycles! Not to mention the effect getting the sun has on your mental health. I don’t know about you guys, but if I stay cooped up inside for days on end without seeing the sun my mental health starts to deteriorate quickly, and mental health is just as important if not MORE important than physical health. Getting daily sunlight keeps me in a good mood and keeps me sane!
