Melanocytes are present on the basal layer which differentiates dermis and epidermis of skin. Single melanocyte is fenced by at-least 36 keratinocytes to form single melanin.
Health impacts

Many SWAs like hydroquinone, arbutin, kojic acid, Azelaic acid, L-ascorbic acid, ellagic acid, tranexamic acid, mono benzyl ether of hydroquinone, retinoids, mequinol, niacinamide, soy, vitamin c, corticosteroids, liquorice, hydroxyl-stilbene, glutathione, glycolic acid, n acetyl glucosamine, gentisic acid, green tea, melatonin vanillin, vanillic acid, and vanillin esters incorporating benzoic acid, cinnamic acid and piperazine have been used.
Balanced Diet
A simple balanced diet is the most important skin whitening agent. Nowadays people are shifting to a healthier, natural and if possible at economic convenience, organic diet. Fibre-rich and low carbohydrate foods with minimal processing help improvement of skin glow, texture and fairer complexion.
Green tea
