Fermented Sauerkraut Health Benefits

The benefits for me are endless and provide a wonderful side dish or an after meal to help enhance your health. Sauerkraut is a great staple to have in your home and it only take about 1/2 a day to make!!

– helps with inflammation within the body
– improves symptoms for patients with IBS

RECIPE for Fermented Sauerkraut :
23 grams to 1 kilo of cabbage. Shred your cabbage, place in a bowl with your salt. Massage every 30 mins to produce the juices, for about 3 – 4 hours in total. Place Sauerkraut in a sterilized bottle with lid and add the juices as well. Press down to make sure the cabbage in firmly at the bottom. Place lid and store in a dark area. Let it ferment for about 2 weeks.
When opening up the lid it will smell bad but then you know it is fermenting well. Taste the cabbage if you think it needs more time to ferment, then let it stay. If it is done, place it in the fridge and consumer every day to gain the help benefits.
