Hello! I’m Ben, a practicing emergency medicine, ie ER physician (MD, Medical Doctor) in the Midwest USA. In this video I am discussing the safety and side effect profile for the new vaccines for the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2)! I will be discussing why the vaccines are proven safe, the phases of drug trials, what the side effects are, what are the chances you get a side effect, how bad they are, and more! This will discuss the vaccines Pfizer, Moderna’s, and AstraZeneca.

This video is part of a multi-video COVID series where I will discuss how the virus spreads, how to prevent getting sick, what to do if you are sick, what to do if your child is sick, how we test for it, and what the warning signs of needing to go to the ER are.

As always, what I discuss is subject to change as the knowledge about COVID-19 is a rapidly evolving situation.
