Larry Grill is the Dean of Research at the Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) where he also teaches courses on virology, pharmaceutical development, and biotech-based therapeutics. In addition, he teaches undergraduate courses for the Keck Science Department for the Claremont undergraduate colleges. With his research lab at KGI, and collaborators in Botswana, they are creating low-cost vaccines for developing countries. The current emphasis is on COVID-19 vaccines. He received his Ph.D. at the University of California, Riverside, and has over 30 peer-reviewed publications. He is an inventor on more than 30 US and European patents.
