The UK and South African variants of COVID-19 are not present in Trinidad and Tobago’s population.
Speaking at Monday’s update on the status of COVID-19 in the country, Professor of Molecular Genetics and Virology at the University of the West Indies, Professor Christine Carrington, said the UK-variant was identified in 38 other countries, including Jamaica.
