IMMUNITY

How Vitamin D Can Reduce Breast Cancer Risk

Vitamin D has a reputation as being a little bit of a “miracle supplement.”

Besides being actively involved in maintaining healthy bones and teeth; Vitamin D is also essential in helping to maintain a healthy immune system and fighting disease — but I bet you already knew that (after all, it’s been all over the news this year).

Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to infertility, diabetes, obesity, depression, ageing and cancer; including breast cancer.

In this week’s video I summarise the evidence linking Vitamin D sufficiency (or having enough of the stuff) to a reduced risk of developing breast cancer.

I also discuss the possible mechanisms through which this could take place and why it’s actually not entirely surprising.

Please remember to examine your breasts at home on a regular basis and if you note any of the symptoms I mention in the video; then please visit your doctor at the nearest opportunity.
