The dots connected in this post relate specifically to #insulinresistance & #diabetes (type II); both more likely than not due to modifiable lifestyle choices & thus able to be improved upon; if not outright reversed.

We can connect this to the current #covid19 predicament & our recent focus on #vitaminC by acknowledging the fact that #glucose & #vitamin C compete for uptake into our cells.

This means that if we choose to live a lifestyle that perpetuates elevated #insulin & #bloodsugar levels, we are essentially making it more difficult or outright blocking our #immunesystem ally #vitC from getting into the cells (intracellular); which is where it needs to be in order to serve any potential immuno-benefit; against SARS CoV-2 or otherwise.

There are risk factors we can’t modify (chronological age) & those we can (diabetes, obesity, #hypertension, etc.). If this outbreak has you scarred or nervous due to your risk level, perhaps that is a good thing. Now comes the time to do something about it, making the changes where able in order to create a less susceptible, more resilient you.
