Understand that FOLIC ACID AND FOLATE ARE DIFFERENT
-folic acid : help produce and store Red blood Cells
– Folate is a B vitamin that help prevent anemia and is found in FOODS.
– Peanuts
– Avacado
– Broccoli
– Romaine Lettuce
– Spinach
– Beets
– Strawberries
– Papaya
– Asparagus
– Corn
– Orange juice.
To increase FATUGE:
– eat more frequently
– Add more calories
– Choose high calorie foods and snacks : nuts in yogurt or veggies to your crackers.
– Add whole milk: rich in vitamins, proteins, potassium.
– Add more 100% Juice
– Add supplements such as : Boost & Ensures.
Drink more fluids: at least 8 cups of water daily: more fluids reduce Red Blood Cells From sticking to one another helping reduce crisis.

Vitamin supplements I’ve found OTC is:
– folic acid
– Vitamin B6
– Selenium : Insufficient levels of selenium in patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) are associated with red blood cell destruction, or hemolysis, according to a study from Brazil. As such, the study authors recommend those patients should include selenium-rich foods in their diets.
