When choosing a B-12 vitamin supplement, make sure its source is “cyanocobalamin”. Cyanocobalamin is a synthetic form of vitamin B12 that’s not found in nature. The other source found in many B-12 vitamins is methylcobalamin, which you want to combine adenosylcobalamin for best results.
The recommended amount to supplement with daily is 20 micrograms. If you are a vegan or over the age of 50, it’s highly recommended you supplement with vitamin B-12 daily.
