Hi Friends! Nutrients are compounds in foods essential to life and health, providing us with energy, the building blocks for repair and growth and substances necessary to regulate chemical processes. There are six major nutrients: Carbohydrates (CHO), Lipids (fats), Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals, Water. Our bodies’ nutrient needs are very very very minimal while fasting. I fasted over 700 people 6 weeks or longer. No one has ever developed scurvy or any other deficiency condition. Your body’s need for these nutrients is dramatically different when fasting than it normally is. So it is possible that someone could wined up with a nutrient deficiency. But it’s not very likely. In fact, I often see the opposite. Someone starts with a nutrient deficiency and then resolve it while fasting and consuming only water. How is that even possible?! The nutrients must had been stored in the body somewhere and the body wasn’t able to access them before and as a result of becoming cleaner and more efficient via fasting now it is.
