This may seem a little grotesque at first, but I MUST address the HIGH nutrient content that’s found in ORGAN MEAT…

Different types of organ meat have different nutritional profiles, but they’re all very nutritious due to their high content of vitamins and minerals – some in particular:

Heart: CoQ10
Kidney: B2 & B12
Liver: Vitamin A, Choline & Zinc

With them all being good sources of vitamin B, iron, phosphorus, copper, magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin K, too

Heart – CoQ10

CoQ10’s primary function is to carry high-energy electrons through the ETC. Thus, a CoQ10 deficiency not only causes a reduced energy production, but also increases the loss of electrons which potentially cause oxidative damage, thereby harming the mitochondria (free electrons are always dangerous and can be seen as “free bullets” that just fly through the mitochondria and harm it as soon as they hit a structural compartment)

Liver – Zinc, Choline & Vitamin A

Zinc keeps the immune system balanced by preventing excessive inflammation – Choline is a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, and acetylcholine prompts synaptogenesis (vitmin A also helps to increase neuroplasticity and neurogenesis

Kidney – B2 & B12

B12 also helps with the production of neurotransmitters alongside SAMe (S-Adenosylmethionine) to regulate the synthesis and breakdown of serotonin, melatonin and dopamine

Also helps to make red blood cells and helps to build and maintain myelin sheaths

Vitamin B2 helps break down proteins, fats, and carbohydrates – it plays a vital role in maintaining the body’s energy supply as it helps convert carbohydrates into adenosine triphosphate (ATP)
